Glamping in New Brunswick

Learn more about glamping, how glamping differs from camping, and more information about our geodesic glamping domes!

What is glamping?

Glamping is often described as a style of camping that combines the words, “glamourous” and “camping”. This luxurious activity is an improvement on the traditional way of camping which involves pitching tents, setting up lighting and a campfire, and braving the wilderness through day and night.

Spread across the country, Canadian glamping sites have become popular to the point where it’s highly likely you’ll find one in any province or territory you visit. Every glamping spot in each province will offer something quirky and unique in both its exterior and interior features.

But what makes glamping in New Brunswick special is the lush pine forests, the wide variety of rivers, spectacular surrounding mountains, and the incredible geodesic glamping domes that Lake View Glamping has to offer.

"Why do people go glamping? Doesn't it defeat the purpose of enjoying the great outdoors?"

Reason #1

Many go glamping because they love the idea of camping in the wild and being around nature, but they can’t commit to the uncomfortable sides of it.

Reason #2

It’s no surprise that several people like taking vacations (or at least the idea of it for some), but roughing it at a campsite won’t always be the #1 choice for many.

Reason #3

While some may prefer the traditional ways of camping such as pitching their tents and making their own fire, many would rather stay in a nice, warm hotel surrounded by nature.

Simply put, glamping combines the comforts of a hotel with the peace that comes with camping.

It gives people the comfort that they want with the calming, natural setting they need.

Glamping & Camping: What's the difference?

Why pitch your own tent and carry heavy bags of essentials in the wilderness when you can simply pack a few items, drive to the best glamping domes in New Brunswick, and enjoy a much better view of the Grand Lake and its surrounding forest?

While we’re all familiar with the steps involved in traditional camping, glamping simply improves that experience by resolving all the cons of traditional camping.

Glamping eliminates the uncertainty of safety in camping by:

But if you really want to know the main differences between camping and glamping, here’s how we would put it:

Among the many beautiful, natural offerings New Brunswick has to offer is the Grand Lake. Stretching for about 20 kilometers long and 5 kilometers wide, the Grand Lake is considered the largest open body of water in the province. The lake has become a popular site for recreational activities such as camping, kayaking, birdwatching, paddle sports, fishing, canoeing, swimming, riding ATVs, biking, walking pets, boating, picnics, and many others.

We stayed at lakeview glamping for our 10 year anniversary and it was just perfect. We stayed in the bur oak which is dog friendly, has a hot tub, and fire pit. The dome was clean and nicely decorated as well as included everything we needed (dishes, cooking dishes, towels, stove top, coffee maker, etc.). They have a private beach with rentals for the water (it's April, so we didn't get to take advantage of that), but it was still a beautiful view. The closest grocery store is about 15 minutes away in a little town so be prepared haha, went and had lunch at the motel there and it was pretty good and decently priced. This lottle getaway for us was quiet and pretty private, it was perfect. Will hopefully return one day with friends!

This is the second time that my husband and I have been here. First time we did it alone and this time we took the kids with us. The owner is beyond friendly and willing to help at the drop of the hat should you run into any issued. It's literally a home away from home for us. We will definitely be seeing the owners again this coming summer. We can't wait.
